Volunteering at Michigan Medicine

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Michigan Medicine, a world-renowned health system where we put patients, clients, and their families first. As a volunteer, you will be joining a dedicated team that provides the highest quality care. Through the generous gift of your time, skills, and personal interests, you will supplement the work of staff and providers in offering many special services that are important to our patients, families, visitors, community, and the staff. There are a variety of volunteering opportunities available within the hospital campus, at ambulatory health care clinics, or other locations within our community.

Volunteering Policies

We take proactive measures to protect our patients, visitors, and healthcare workers with volunteer policies at our facilities. All Michigan Medicine volunteers must pass background checks, sign and adhere to the University of Michigan Health System Code of Conduct Attestation, and maintain compliance with Michigan Medicine COVID-19 and Influenza Vaccine Policies.
